This is such a fun recipe to make and doubles up as two recipes in one (risotto + arancini!). These yummy arancini make perfect picnic food and a wonderful addition to a jubilee celebration! We've included some fun arts and crafts in this month's box to have a celebration tea party at home, and little cook's can proudly serve up these arancini balls as part of it!

What you need to know

Recipe ingredients

All of the dry organic ingredients are included in the kit. You'll need to add:

  • 1 large egg (optional)
  • 50g mozzarella cheese
  • 1 lemon (optional)
  • Olive oil

Recipe allergens

The ingredients in the contain nuts (pine nuts).

The recipe suggests dairy and egg, though a dairy and egg free alternative can be chosen.

Please note that our kits are packed in premises that handle cereals, nuts (including peanuts), soya, sesame and products containing gluten

Sun-dried tomatoes!

The kit contains organic tomato seeds with growing instructions, plus a super fun and easy activity to make your very own sun-dried tomatoes (which are an ingredient in the arancini balls!)

Fun with nettles!

Did you know you can forage for nettles and cook with them?! You just need some good quality gloves and make sure to wear trousers! Nettles are one of the most nutritious greens around (they have 10 times more calcium than spinach and the most protein of any green!). The kit includes foraging instructions and a deeeelicious nettle tart recipe to use them in!
