Christmas fruit cake!

A Christmas cake that children love making and eating! It is a light and fluffy version of a traditional rich and heavy Christmas cake, which is simple to make, fun to decorate and yummy to eat (and even better with a splash of cream!)

What you need to know

Recipe ingredients

All of the dry organic ingredients are included in the kit. You'll need to add:

  • 80g butter or coconut oil
  • 3 oranges
  • 2 eggs
  • 50g honey

Recipe allergens

The ingredients in the kit do not contain any allergens, although please note that our kits are packed in premises that handle cereals, nuts (including peanuts), soya, sesame and products containing gluten.

The recipe recommends egg and dairy, though a dairy free alternative can be chosen

Recipe utensils

To make this recipe you'll need:

  • 20cm cake tin (approximate)
  • Mixing bowl and spoon
  • Measuring scales
  • Whisk or fork
  • Grater
  • Small bowl
  • Chopping board and knife

Inside your kit you'll find a fun and simple activity to make your very own Christmas tree decorations with just flour, salt and water! We've also included some twine so your little cook can proudly hang the final decorations on the tree.

Cake decorations

Let you little cook make their Christmas Cake look beautify with these special decorations. All carefully packaged inside a little gauze bag you'll find some ribbon and little wooden Christmas tree-shaped decorations.
