Lovely Lentil Empandas!

A bit like a pasty, but smaller, empanadas are little filled pastry parcels that originate from Spain and Portugal, but are now eaten across the world. These empanadas are filled with cheesy lentil yumminess, as well as lots of wholegrain goodness and fibre!

What you need to know

Recipe ingredients

All of the dry organic ingredients are included in the kit. You'll need to add:

  • 1 onion
  • 40g tomato puree
  • 100g cheddar cheese (or dairy free alternative)
  • 115g butter/vegan butter
  • 1 egg (optional)

Recipe allergens

The ingredients in the kit contain gluten (spelt and rye flour). The recipe also suggests adding dairy, but dairy-free alternatives can be used and are included in the recipe card.

Please note that our kits are packed in premises that handle cereals, nuts (including peanuts), soya, sesame and products containing gluten
